Good point that I forgot add - there’s a lot of cognitive dissonance going on! I always feel that understanding’s someone self-conception is important, even when you don’t think they apply it evenhandedly.
Well, consider me "informed" but I cannot make the leap to "understanding," which requires more than I'm willing to give to a bunch of whiny, "what about me, me, me?" bro dudes.
You’d think I would have made a better effort to understand the Rogan Magic, but I haven’t. Fascinating, David. Thanks for the insights. Now I have to figure out how use “the secret”.
You in The Guardian, “Like a lot of Democrats, my natural inclination is to be a little annoying and condescending.” Has a single MAGA voter ever uttered a self-deprecating remark? “Maybe I’m being savagely cruel? I wonder if I’ve given the consequences to others of this tax bill sufficient thought?”
Trump's certainly not a fan of self-deprecation - I've written about that a few times - and I think MAGA's lack of introspection is a huge opportunity for the rest of us. Trump and Miller keep doubling down on mistakes, leaving the voters they worked so hard to win over up for grabs again. It's a big opening!
