Question of purchase: If I buy the audible version now on Chirp Books, would that benefit you for the "flywheel?"

Sorry to get back to you so late. Hardcovers make the biggest impact but any book sales in week one matter a lot! Audible very much included.

Warning: Reading this book in public places may earn you some stares! But I couldn't help myself -- I didn't want to put it down, and as a consequence, I kept laughing (not chuckling) out loud in all kinds of situations! Big, tea-spitting outbursts! You are a brilliant, crazy nut, David Litt. By letting all of who you are spill out across the pages of this blast of a book, you touched my heart and expanded my mind. Thank you. I've sent hardback copies all over California!

I’m glad. Went out yesterday for a few hours and it was a nice break with reality. Now back to it!

I received my copy a couple of days ago and just started reading. I am a big fan of your work (and also a fan of watching other people surf ;) But right off the bat, the book was worth ordering for the pictures in the front of the book of your brother in law surfing and then you surfing. I cannot look at the pictures without bursting out laughing and I have done this at least 5 times (I can laugh because I know you did not die). I am looking forward to savoring the read.

Finally, you're done with the excerpts and I got my copy yesterday ( unfortunately from Amazon, the closest decent bookstore is 100+ miles away and I was homebound temporarily). Normally I hang on your every word in the Word Salad. It's been tough to ignore the excerpts. .You've set the world on fire like few have and hopefully "It's Only Drowning" be an entertaining addition to that legacy. The first chapter rocks my world.
