This post is the one I needed today — the one I think the world needs today. It is time to focus on the damage and cruelty of Stephen Miller and his callous manipulation of Trump as they both care about nothing but meeting their personal ends. Even Miller probably doesn’t care about Trump, other than as a useful tool.

Thank you thank you for writing this piece and particularly writing about Miller. I had a feeling of dread every time I saw him after January, yet no one else seemed to know his name. I was posting ‘don’t forget about Bannon, Miller, Vaught Yarvin Leo, and the red of the unholy mob. It was obvious that Trump had a big team behind him. Trump himself is not smart enough to think this through let alone understand and organise the attack on democracy. Trump only knows hate greed and revenge. What’s best for him and how can he punish his perceived enemies along the way. Trump is a vile, hateful object.

There is so much more to come, when he stops gaining small victories they will be able to nudge him along. When he becomes cornered, I can’t begin to imagine what hell he will unleash. There isn’t anything he won’t do to preserve that stinky, wrinkly old hide. He will be as self restrained as Hannibal Lecter. He is several pathologies all rolled into one cess pit of filthy evil.

I’m on my sailboat in the Aegean. I asked my husband to catch a small fish for lunch. The first catch was a plastic bag filled with garbage. The second was a 96-lb tuna. I know all about flailing. When agitated, Trump can be more dangerous than he is now. Backed by Miller, even worse. I will do my part to help fight this DC tuna. Another great post. Thank you.

The more we win, the more we will win. And the more the Trump-Musk-Miller franken-fish flails, the more we will stand back and watch, with care that it doesn't flop back over the side or injure anyone, while it gasps and dies. Then we must take time to dissect the thing so as to ensure we don't spawn such a monster again.

I'm right here with you, David Litt, on all accounts. Ever since I first heard about Stephen Miller, my reaction was, and is, this is a scary, determined, and destructive person in every way. A chilling person and one we must be very careful around. Psychopath comes to mind in the way we often recognize as a psychopath. Perhaps he wouldn't literally kill someone, but one who will think nothing of killing us in many other ways. Cold blooded and very, very dangerous.

IMO, you are a stand out in capturing, understanding, and communicating more than the essence of what is now the craziness that is the government these days. We need your sound opinions and advice more than ever. Onward!

I, too, needed this education today. The bitter medicine goes down easier with the spoonfuls of smart humor. This helps me to stay the course - educated, active, and, per your suggestion, mostly in balance.

David, what a great “piece of your mind” rumination. Thank you. You caused me to think of a potential win strategy for the Democrats as the country meets the force of the thrashing tuna… Since the party is divided in its factions anyway, why not purposefully incorporate the disparate voices into a tag team of informational outrage—each faction a burr under the GOP’s saddle and forcing a constant yet separate bucking that ultimately unseats the rider.

He just looks evil. I’m sorry, to judge someone on genetic factors is wrong, but he never smiles, never looks at the person to whom he is talking and he is so often focusing on concepts designed to harm American citizens. That seems to me to be evil.
